      The Emeritus Society delights adults of all ages who hunger for intellectual nourishment without the pressure of tests and grades. These college-level courses offer a learning environment that affirms the unique attributes adult learners bring to the classroom¬–delight in learning, intellectual savvy, and substantial life experience. Pursue your educational interests with like-minded peers in stimulating courses taught by outstanding faculty noted for their scholarship and engaging classroom style. These face-to-face classes generally meet for an hour and a half on the UNCG campus or at a community location. Check out the Spring 2012 Emeritus Society course brochure.

    • School of Education Project ENRICH Teacher Residency Program Back to top

      Project ENRICH (Educational Network for Renewal, Innovation, Collaboration and Help) is a partnership between the UNCG School of Education and the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. In the Project ENRICH Teacher Residency Program, individuals interested in the teaching profession work in a real classroom for one year alongside a master teacher who serves as a mentor, all while earning a master’s degree.     • School of Education Summer Symposium for Future Ready Schools Back to top

      The focus of the summer symposium is to encourage and facilitate leadership and collaborative practice among teachers, mentors, and administrators by providing professional development aligned with the reforms in the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards. Organized by the UNCG School of Education, the symposium meets once a year in June and is open to a range of educational influencers from teachers to school principals to community members.       Offered in the Fall or Spring to visiting and non-degree seeking students with a bachelor’s, Visions permits students to register for classes without being admitted to a particular program of study. Credits earned at UNCG through Visions are recorded in the University Registrar’s Office on an official transcript. Visit Visions to learn more.       The All-Arts, Sciences & Technology Camp is a weeklong summer camp with day and residential options for kids ages 7–15. Designed to give hands-on instruction, the camp also includes recreation, citizenship, and entertainment. Visit AASTC for more information.
