    Summer Session

UNCG offers two five-week sessions as well as several intensive three-week sessions. Whether you’re a current student working ahead in a degree program, a former student who earned credits in the past, a visiting student from another college or university, or someone who simply enjoys learning, you’re bound to find a course that meets your needs. Learn more about Summer Session.

    Winter Session

Work ahead in your degree program and earn academic credit during the holiday break. Winter Session’s five-week courses are available online, meaning you can earn college credit without leaving the comfort of home during those chilly winter days. More information will be available by September 2013.

    Visiting Students

Students who want to earn academic credit (up to 21 credits) but are not admitted to UNCG or not in a degree-seeking program can enroll as a visiting student. Follow these steps:

    Visions

Offered in the Fall or Spring to visiting and non-degree seeking students with a bachelor’s, Visions permits students to register for classes without being admitted to a particular program of study. Credits earned at UNCG through Visions are recorded in the University Registrar’s Office on an official transcript. Visit Visions to learn more. To enroll in undergraduate courses without being admitted to a program, you may apply as a visiting student. Find out more on the Services page.

    Visiting Auditors

Visiting auditors are classified as non-UNCG students who wish to take a course without receiving college credit or a record of enrollment. To register as a visiting auditor follow these steps:

    • Complete a visiting auditor form.
    • Return the form along with payment to the Division of Continual Learning.
    • Our staff obtains permission for the student to audit the class.
    • The instructor and student are notified of approval to participate in the class.
    • Refund is given if space is not available, permission is denied, or the class is canceled.
